We are a London bed specialist led by someone who has spent his whole working life learning what makes a great night's sleep, and who still builds beds with his own name on them.
More than forty years in beds
Brent Cooper started in the luxury bed trade in 1979. Over four decades he learned the lesson that still guides everything we do: a great bed is about how it feels and how you sleep, not how it looks in a brochure.
He went on to become one of the most successful Hästens retailers in the country, selling the very top end of the market to a clientele that included royalty and well-known names. When he felt that quality was no longer being put first, he decided to build something better himself. That became Marshall & Stewart.
The proof came quickly. When Marshall & Stewart beds were shown in the same showroom alongside the brand Brent had built his reputation selling, eight out of ten customers chose Marshall & Stewart.
Why we are different
Most bed shops only sell. We do something unusual: we select, we test, and in the case of Marshall & Stewart and our own Westend range, we manufacture. That combination of retail breadth and manufacturing depth is rare in London.
It means we have no reason to push you towards any one bed. We stock Hypnos, Marshall & Stewart, Tréca and our own range because each earns its place. Whether you spend £800 or £80,000, our job is the same: to help you make a confident decision and walk away certain you chose well.
The team
Behind Brent is a team with decades in the trade between them. People like Neilan, Simon, Roddy and Douglas are experienced professionals who know beds inside out. You will not find Saturday staff reading from a script here. You will find people who can answer the awkward questions and tell you honestly when a cheaper bed is the right one for you.
